Increasing costs of providing the smoking woods

This is a rather boring blog but for those who read everything before ordering …

… I thought you would want to know that my prices for the wood haven’t changed much for some years. The cost of importing Hickory and Pecan has gone up of course but also getting it has more restrictions both sides of the pond which is making supply an issue. My margins on these is almost nothing so I can’t guarantee that I will keep supplying.

The cardboard boxes I use for the mixed box have also doubled in cost since lockdown and I have just ordered shrink wrap for the year and it’s now 3 times what it was in 2021.

Anyway, the good news is that there isn’t a large rise for 2024 and I’ll keep it that way as long as I can
